I'm translating a bunch of letters in the preparatory phase of a clinical trial in Chile. This is a letter from the Scientific Ethics Committee. That by itself is strange, the term and the abbreviation CEC is used in four letters, never with an I for Investigacion. The letter is signed by the executive secretary of the committee. Her signature has the letters E.U. C. in front of it: "E.U. C.

Explanation:
As mentioned in my references, and due to the lack of context, I am a little hesitant about the "C", as it could be several things, although my inclination is towards "Coordinador" (Coordinator).

I am pretty confident about the first two letters, supported by the ProZ link I mentioned in my references.

  -> Thank you. Yes I think both Kathryn and yourself are correct on that count. I am a little disturbed that the Asker has chosen "clínica" as nothing suggests that this is correct.
