Source text - German Der Film ist eine Kunstform, die ihren Ausdruck in der Produktion bewegter Bilder mittels Foto-, Kamera- und Tontechnik findet, bei Stummfilmen war der Ton untergeordnet oder wurde durch unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten versucht.. In der Regel werden die Bilder mit einem Filmprojektor im Dunkeln auf eine Bildwand projiziert oder auf einem Bildschirm erzeugt. Heutzutage handelt es sich bei den Filmen des Kinos und des Fernsehens meist um farbige Bilder, die vertont und musikalisch untermalt sind.. Der Film ist unter anderem Gegenstand der Filmwissenschaft und der Filmtheorie. Die technische, kulturelle und künstlerische Entwicklung dieses optischen Mediums seit den Anfängen um 1900 ist unter Filmgeschichte ausführlich dargestellt.
Translation - English The film is an art form, which is expressed through the production of moving images by photo, camera and sound engineering. In silent films the sound was the secondary issue and it was experimented with in many different ways. Usually, the images are projected with a film projector in darkness onto a standard screen or cinema screen. Nowadays coloured images, accompanied by sound and music, are predominantly used in TV and cinemas. The film is, amongst other foci, the subject of film studies and theory. The technical, cultural and artistic development of this optical medium has been detailed in film history since the start of the 20th century.

I am a languages professional with a love for all things German.
I completed my BA (Hons) German and Spanish in 2002 which involved me living in Cologne and Málaga . Since then I have spent time working in a Gymnasium (grammar school) in Gerolstein, Germany as a languages assistant and then I returned to the UK where I trained as an MFL teacher in 2004-2005. I am still currently working in my second school. In 2015 I applied to the University of Portsmouth to start my MA in translation as I am ready and aiming to establish a new career in the translation industry. I have since completed the MA at the end of 2018.
I am passionately keen to establish myself in this challenging industry full-time and as such am actively looking for opportunities to gain experience, be that in translation, MT editing or proof-reading. Based on my professional experience and my interests I am specialising in education, naturally, but also marketing (part of my BA and also A level) and also travel and tourism. With this in mind I am keen to pursue translation opportunities to get started in the market. If you would like a sample of my work or my CV I will happily forward them on to you/your company. Please take a chance on a new starter who has gained good university grades, has high standards, can demonstrate excellent IT skills and would be interested in feedback from the 'real world' of translation!
