" Hello,
I'm pleased to know you are interested in handling this project. However, I will require your service to translate the attached English document. In the mean time, could you also confirm your charges per page, per source word or for the entire translation? The deadline for this Project is 1 month starting from 10/02/2020. Finally, what would be your preferred mode of payment? Though I'm proposing a certified bank draft, a cashier check or bank certified check. Please do not hesitate to confirm if this is okay with you? I look forward to reading from you soon.
Best Regards,"

I asked how she got to know me and she didn't answer me.

I search the first sentence of the material she gave to me and want me to translate "What do organizations use conflict management for? "
I am glad that the google search result lead me to here.

And this was the text to be translated from English to French:

PUBLIC ORGANISATION PROCEDURES RESEARCH PHASE 1

What do organizations use conflict management for?
For any organization to be effective and efficient in achieving its goals, the people in the organization need to have a shared vision of what they are striving to achieve, as well as clear objectives for each team / department and individual. You also need ways of recognizing and resolving conflict amongst people, so that conflict does not become so serious that co-operation is impossible. All members of any organization need to have ways of keeping conflict to a minimum - and of solving problems caused by conflict, before conflict becomes a major obstacle to your work. This could happen to any organization, whether it is an NGO, a CBO, a political party, a business or a government.

I received the same email from someone named Brendan. He sent me emails and then he sent me a check through FedEx urgent. When I deposit the check to my account, at first the bank accepted the check then after two days they rejected the check stated that the check was Fraud. I was fine by the bank but I don't know how much they charge me for depositing fraud check. Advice: please use google when you are suspected of something.

Thank you,

I don't understand why some of our colleagues are reluctant to check on a regular (weekly) basis the Scam section. It is informative and at the same time can prevent us to fall victims to these scams.

Maybe the Proz staff should post a Warning, instructing members and non-members to check the SCAM section on a regular basis.

Stay safe
lee

PS. Another newcomer fell for the scam. I think that Irina's suggestion is golden.
