baci

English translation: pelvis, hip bone

Albanian term or phrase: baci
I've got a quote from a medical report where someone is injured in the 'bacin', then in brackets it says "(legen)". I can't find baci in any dictionary. Is it another word for pelvis, like legen? Or is it a misprint for something else?

Thanks!

English translation:pelvis, hip bone
Explanation:
In this context, the word "bacino" comes to mind, which is Italian and the meaning is "pelvis", or "hip bone". Maybe the doctor who wrote that studied in Italy. :)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Faleminderit, Denis and Ledja. I find a lot of Italian words in Albanian medical documents, and it's not helpful when you don't speak much Italian!

pelvis

Explanation:
The correct source word would be "baçin/i" which is a loanword from Italian and it does, as mentioned in brackets, refer to "legen/i".
