agree Radosveta Golden : и на мен ми се струва, че е "prosecutor in charge" повече отговаря на смисъла, но пък това би било като "head prosecutor". Абе, нашата администрация е несравнима по подобни нововъведения. Не знам дали има нормален аналог.

?mentor prosecutor? / public prosecutor

Излиза като "mentor prosecutor", но някак си ми се струва, че ще е просто "public prosecutor"

Откъдети и да го погледна си е просто "прокурор" - води си делото и разследването по делото и следи за заканосъобразността. Пълна бюрокрация пак. Само ние да му мислим. И по делото "Стависки" например имаше "наблюдаващ прокурор". Навсякъде в чуждата преса (тук не говоря за наши преводи, а за техни новинарски репортажи) е "prosecutor" или "public prosecutor". Не съм сигурна дали това е правдоподобно, или не, затова тук привеждам 2 препратки с обяснения за функциите на наблюдаващия прокурор:
