Administrative aspects and health are my most pressing concerns at the moment. I'm having problems with my vertebrae and am waiting for an appointment for an ultrasound scan of my left shoulder. I'm on anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants, and the constant pain is reducing my capacity for work, as I tire more easily but I'm not sleeping well during the night.

"These" refers to the poll results. None of them concern me - at the moment or at any other time.

That is exactly the question I asked, the last time this poll appeared. A colleague explained that it was a reference to the list of things you see if you click on the link.

I had my first UTI last week and unfortunately it spread to my right kidney. I’m having a fever and terrible chills mostly during the night. Spent yesterday morning in the ER. They haven’t identified yet the bacteria responsible, E. coli was excluded…

Neil, could the shoulder issue be RSI or a related condition?

Health Feb 13, 2023

None of the options are of great concern to me. I have a great clientele that keeps me as busy as I want to be.

Several have mentioned health issues, and with this profession appealing to many of us who are older, health issues are likely to be a frequent concern. In my case it's Parkinson's, which makes each day a challenge to get through. NOTA Feb 13, 2023

For the uninitiated: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/None_of_the_above

I'd even go so far as to say that I've never been so 'concern-free' at any time in the past ... errr ... 65 or so years.

I'm recovering from a stroke last June. I have started to translate again and it feels wonderful. My clients understand that I am slow.

Thank you for the reminder that behind our mugshots and Proz profiles, and our chats in these forums, there are complicated lives going on - of which we know nothing.
