Grace Anindya Индонезия Local time: 05:38 Английски на Индонезийски It's indeed a scam (and I figured it out late) | Feb 17 |
Yes, it's definitely a scam.
My project was 'a movie script', 22.000+ words, something I always passionate about; hence I translated it without any suspicion.
It was just this afternoon that they sent me an "invoice" after I foolishly submitted my 40% of works. An amazing amount yet it just doesn't make sense if you compare the workload with the fee. Then, the notification for a "bank" pretending to be a legit one came, ask me to send €200 as a deposit.

Just be careful! They pretended to be a legit project (sending you a contract, appeared to be from a legit law firm), but in the end, asking you to send them kind of huge deposit. Don't follow my path, foolishly spending my precious rest time to translate this scam. ▲ Collapse | | | Warning: Scam Alert – Fraudulent Translation Project Requests | Feb 18 |

I received a similarly excellent offer from English into German, signed by Aleksandra Henderson. Payment: 5,500 pounds for about 15,200 words, only through bank transfer. Too good to be true.
It reminded me of another scam I avoided last year. | | | Rudy Lim Индонезия Local time: 05:38 Английски на Индонезийски + ... Almost got me - Too good to be true | Feb 19 |

I felt a bit strange when I received an email to transfer certain amount to their account.
Why then cannot transfer to me, but how come I can transfer to them? ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Work silo translation company [scam] Trados Business Manager Lite |
