My vote goes to this topic: http://www.proz.com/topic/801 in the Russian forum. It is still active and it was started 2 years back. It has had so far 230 postings and 12,804 viewings. And the person who started it is no longer a member. I am curious to know, whether any other threads of this nature are still around. I don't think this is off-topic and hence am not checking the box... See more My vote goes to this topic: http://www.proz.com/topic/801 in the Russian forum. The one you mention, "Anglo-Saxon Attitudes" (started Dec 12 2001), is probably the best candidate I know of (though there must be others - I would be surprised if the Spanish forum, by far the largest in terms of the number of pages, topics and posts - does not have something). See http://www.proz.com/topic/285 In fact I expected a reply from you of all people and am gratified to note that you have risen to the occasion. One cannot expect anything less than that from a doughty person. On seeing your profile I see that when I started my career as a German translator in 1975, you were 28 years my senior in the field and now in 2003 your experience is double that of mine. In fact seeing you still active makes assures me that it is possible and I should be active in 2031 as well. And talking of the post quoted by you, it is way above my head as I am scared of even attempting literary translation. Regards, N.Raghavan | | | lien オランダ Local time: 12:06 英語 から フランス語 + ...
