I did not ever realized the cohesitence of this double possibility: i.e. the equivalence of 'broth culture' (that I guess is slight more correct) and 'culture broth'.
Anyway, when we take into account the plurals we also find the answer! :))

Per chiarire meglio il punto, si può parlare di 'brodi per le colture' (correttamente tradotto con 'culture broth'), cioè del liquido nutritivo in cui fare crescere le colture.
Oppure, come nel nostro caso, di "colture (cresciute) in brodo".
