No documento acima sobre os problemas gerais da batata, o que julgo que se aproxima mais de "bruising" é o dano mecânico a que chamam de "pancada".

Não é importante para PT-BR, mas é costume dizer-se (cá), no caso da fruta, que a fruta X, Y ou Z está "tocada" ou "pisada", ou seja, que levou a tal "pancada".
