Italian term

cosa volete mai che sia in confronto l’interrogazione della propria maestra?

Italian to English Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Music
Can anyone help me untangle this sentence? It's from an article about a choir director's life running treble voice choirs with children. He is talking in this section about what the children gain in terms of resilience to setbacks at school and in life in general from making music in a choir. Here is the context:

"Dopo aver cantato ad un concorso nazionale od internazionale che sia, magari come solista, dopo aver fatto numerose registrazioni per un nuovo CD con ore di take anche dello stesso brano, cosa volete mai che sia in confronto l’interrogazione della propria maestra o dei professori?"

I'm probably missing something really obvious but I would grateful for a pointer or two.

Many thanks in advance

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Tom in London

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

a test with your teacher will seem like a piece of cake!

I would turn it into an exclamation rather than a question.

It means that all the non musical skills practised in the choir (stage performances, many takes of the same piece etc.) will prepare the student for any other situations, such as oral tests/exams, that might make the student feel nervous.

an oral test in front of your teacher/professor will feel like nothing in comparison.
