"[Han] var udstyret med et fordelagtigt udseende og en god sangstemme og gjorde glimrende fyldest som kirkesanger..." This line comes from the childhood reminiscences of a Danish man. I'm tempted to translate the phrase as: "...and made a splendid chorister." I'm wondering, however, if there is something that more closely reflects the original.
