Measuring grid
The laser scanner emits a signal (laser beam), which is reflected by the object.
When a scan is taken place, the room/object is scanned by a sequence of laser scanning signals (laser beams).
That way, a measuring grid is created, which resolution depends on the ***angle step width*** (horizontal and vertical circle) and the distance between laser scanner and object (Thales’ theorem).
