German term

Arbeitslehre

All I could come up with for **Arbeitslehre** was "manufacturing gauges" and that just doesn't seem right in this context. Do you have any suggestions for me, please?

(femoral) alignment guide

I have some doubt about 'rod' here, particularly because this is a device placed in/drilled into the inner (!) portion of the femur ("intramedullary rod", i.e. in the bone marrow canal) whereas the source text says *Auf*bringen, i.e. apply from the the outside/place/attach...
