: It is indeed a lower case L, as you'll see if you copy and paste the "luK" from above into MS Word then change the case (Shift+F3).

Thanks. Well, but if my suggestion is correct, it should be uppercase. So, either way, something seems to be wrong ...

: The asker may have typed a lower case L; that doesn't necessarily mean that was what was present in the original, or that the typist didn't make a mistake in the original.

: The source document may be the result of a scanning/OCR process, which would explain why a capital I was rendered as an l. "Leitungs- und Koordinierungsstab" appears less likely than "Information und Kommunikation (IuK)" here.
