Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Mar 23, 2005:
My only concern about -pin allocation- is that I wanted to use -pin allocation- for -Steckerbelegung-. Any idea what the distinction is between -Steckerbelegung- and -Leistenbelegung-?

There\'s an illustration called \'Stecker und Pinbelegung\' at this site:

Does that help?

It would seem that you can speak about \'plug connectors contact allocation\' (to do with the \'Stecker\')

and \'socket connectors contact allocation\': this is about the \'Buchse\'), which is all rather long-winded
- perhaps it\'s OK to leave out the \'connectors\' in the middle and just speak about the \'plug contact allocation\' and the \'socket contact allocation\'.
You won\'t need the second term however as you\'re not dealing with the \'Buchse\'.
Something went wrong...
