semi-ripe banana

Sadly in English, most people do not know names for the many different types of banana, and so we just call all of them bananas. I do not think that adding extra explanation of the type of banana will actually enable an English speaker to understand more. However if the type of banana is very important then it may be better to put it in and let the reader research it (as most will need to research it!).
