: Wrong context. In USA, "workers' comp." relates to compensation in the event of accident or illness, etc and therefore system or scheme. Employee compensation refers to pay package

I would be unsure about using "compensation" as this suggests to me compensation payable in the event of injury etc.

To talk about systems or schemes or arrangements something would change the focus lead a reader to consider something different. We could put just wages or alternatively the wages and salaries of workers, but it is unecessarily wordy, wages are only and always paid to workers.
