prevent (the) others from being acknowledged as individuals

if I let you speak, you'll be able to express yourself, and thus everybody (yourself, I, and everybody listening) will know that you have a definite identity and your own thoughts and manners and everything else of your own.
conversely, if I don't let you speak, you'll be nothing more than part of an audience, since you won't be recognizable as an individual (hence "individuazione"), you won't stand out and you'll just stay blurred... because there's just one person who deserves to stand out and who can have a personal identity... (and yes, this reminds me of so many people :)

actually, the italian sentence sounds a little bit weird to me, since "individuazione" is usually found in psychological contexts taht are far more specific and far more specialized - anyhow, this is what it should mean here imo, and hth

Antagonistic Behavior

Antagonistic Behavior: Assertion

Assertion

People who are assertive are more willing to stand up for their views and are not afraid to overtly deal with conflict. This scale is a continuum that runs from passive (much lower likelihood for overt violence) to aggressive (a creator of conflict). Usually lower score are less prone to harassing or violent behavior because they dislike conflict. However, they are also subject to being harassed themselves, perhaps leading to a build up of anger and a potential blow up.

Hope this will be a help.

are domineering/overbearing/refuse to see things from other people's point of view

reckon any of these should work. The last one is perhaps the most accurate, but also the least concise
