Portuguese term

"Ainda Bem"

Grato.

A bit of humour to check if I got it right Hey guys,

About Lindsay suggestion, if I got it right then I could translate a playful saying I once heard as follow:

It's just as well my father is not a woman, otherwise I would have two mothers!

Is that correct?

David Hollywood Oct 7, 2011:
how about "pig in a poke?"

Thank God

(It's) just as well (that)

It depends on the context of course. But if it were something like this:

'It's just as well that we brought something to eat, we would have gone hungry!'

Or more informally: 'Just as well we brought something to eat..."

A: "I'm glad we brought something to eat"
B: "Yeah, just as well!"

Does this work with your phrase?
