Producto X "Calcio-Boro": calcio y boro con aminoácidos de origen vegetal. Producto muy recomendado para mejorar la floración y el cuajado del fruto.

Producto X "Molibdeno": molibdeno con aminoácidos de origen vegetal.

Producto X "Zinc": zinc con aminoácidos de origen vegetal.

Producto X "Reverdeciente": hierro quelatado con EDDHA y con L-aminoácidos de origen vegetal. Los aminoácidos, aparte de quelatar el hierro, estimulan la absorción del producto y activan el metabolismo de la planta.

This is a list of types of fertilisers for a website of a fertiliser manufacturer, aimed at the agricultural sector. The only one I'm having trouble naming is the reverdeciente one. Clearly, it is a "regreenifier", for want of a better term. It uses iron chelate and L-amino acids for that purpose. That's all fine, except that "regreenifier" most certainly ain't the right word, because I just made it up. Any help appreciated. Spanish (Spain) to English (UK).

Yes, I was torn between reviver and the greening agent possibility (having jokingly invented the term regreenifier, I began to wonder whether "regreener" might actually be a good idea. I also saw "green up" somewhere, but it seemed to be for lawns rather than crops). So I have no fixed idea on what is definitively the best or most correct answer, and as Liz says, future readers can reach their own conclusions. And Muriel is of course more than welcome to continue to argue her corner for the benefit of future queries. Thanks everyone for your contributions.

Muriel, lecture or not I presented my evidence. If you wish to pursue this then kindly prepare your evidence and submit it to the asker. After all, we could debate this for evermore, but ultimately the asker decides. I have moved on now to other terminology. Future readers will make up their own minds.

Greening agents I attended a lecture tonight about fertilizers. A portion of it was about greening agents. The plants are otherwise healthy. Note that in this case the fertilizer included iron, which is a greening agent, and it was in a list of several others. A general revitalizing agent like SuperThrive doesn't have iron in it--or any minerals. "Reviver" is horticulturallly naive.

Hi, I have a really good look again. My understanding is that this fertiliser is for many different deficiencies in plants/crops, not just lack of "greening". In fact when I look up EDDHA + amino acids + iron chelating agent, I do not find anything with "greening agent", but rather "tonic"...i.e. this fertiliser is not just for making the crop/plant green again, but providing the roots with iron.

This is about green in the leaves ...not the vitality of the plant. Note that the product contains quelated iron. That is used when plant leaves are yellow. The plant could be otherwise quite healthy. (I have 30 academic credits in horticulture.)

neutral Muriel Vasconcellos : From the desription, this is a fertilizer with iron in it, specifically for turning yellow leaves green again. Yellow leaves are not necessarily a sign that the plant is not thriving. It's not about general plant vitality.

Reverdeciente [green again]

Since the quote marks suggest that it's a trade name, I'd leave it in Spanish, with an explanation in English. If you go for English, then 'green again' would work, though I wouldn't capitalize it because ...

I think in all cases the quote marks refer to brand names. They are not necessarily the names of the agents in question. I'm assuming that because the contents are given in narrative form directly after the name. That's why I'm comfortable switching from the name of an agent to a quality.

chelating agents allow the plant to absorb micronutrients, the lack of which causes chlorosis or deficiency of chlorophyll, which basically means photosynthesis not taking place properly

booster or stimulant along with either chlorophyll or greening/regreening should work
