I'm not familiar with Colombia's educational system, but if high school consists of three years and the third year would be the 12th year of schooling in total including elementary, then the USA equivalent would be the "junior year of high school", and not the second, which would be "sophomore".

Another option. At least the Peninsular Spanish degree of "bachillerato" must be translated into English as "Baccalaureate".

: It appears that "bachillerato" in Spain is the same as everywhere else, "high school", whereas a baccalaureate is a bachelor's degree (4-5 yrs.) from a university. Also, the document is from Colombia.
