Glossary entry (derived from question below)
Spanish term or phrase:
cobro de recivo de gas
English translation:
gas bill payment
Spanish term
cobro de recivo de gas
I was wondering if anyone could give me some help with this phrase that is causing me some difficulty.
This is part of a customer satisfaction survey for a gas supplier.
The question is "What is the main area where {gas supplier} needs to improve to make you more likely to recommend {gas supplier}?
The whole answer is "cobro de recivo de gas".
Unfortunately I do not have any more context.
I was thinking that "recivo" is a mis-spelling of "recibo", but I still don't know what it is trying to say either way.
This text comes from Spain and is to be translated into UK English.
Many thanks for any help you can give.
Kind regards,
Kerryann

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: I would not say it refers to the entire billing system which is probably unknown to the customer.

I think if you can't pay a bill on line, for example, you would complain about the system.

: But how can "cobro" be "cost"?

'Cobro' can be 'payment' or 'charge, hence my interpretation (I did only put a confidence level of '3'.)

: Why do you ignore "cobro"?

Because that's what bills are: "cuentas de cobro", facturas, etc. I'm not ignoring it.
