I'd rephrase it along these lines, as it sounds more natural.

Perhaps "established stars" would be closer to "los sagrados."

Thanks, gallagy. The amount of rain we've had here (on the Spanish steppe!) is mind-boggling. Almost. What is normally so wrong fits this year.
