: I would use "sacramental" for the reasons Simon gives, and all the more so if it refers to the Catholic church, which apparently it does.

I honestly think the literal translation is fine here. I think it just refers to the various sacraments that a Christian undergoes throughout their life: baptism, marriage, Eucharist etc. If you really don't like it you could use "religious life", but this is less specific and would refer to any religious activity.
