Spanish term

afecto (please read sentence)

Spanish to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture
Does 'afecto' have any other meaning apart from 'affection/fondness' etc.? I seems to me to be a very odd word to use in this context.

Queremos que tanto la visita a nuestra finca, como la relación con (wine brand) sea un hecho inolvidable y diferenciado.

Entendemos que el conocimiento genera respeto y ***afecto** y que todas las personas tienen capacidad de aprender si se les da la oportunidad. (they are referring to learning about wine)

I presume it means regarding wine itself, i.e. the more they learn about it the more they admire & love it. I like John's ideas above.
