ProZ.com powwow: European Day of Languages

September 26, 2009, 3:00 pm
United KingdomNottinghamIn personEnglish
The next Nottingham powwow will be held on Saturday 26th September from 3 pm. This informal networking event for language professionals will include an exciting, language-oriented quiz to celebrate both the European Day of Languages and International Translation Day.

Venue: The Peacock, 11 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG1 3FB (just up the road from the Victoria Centre). See here for a map: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=457236&y=340430&z=0&ar=Y>. We will probably be in the saloon bar to the right – look out for the ProZ sign on our table.

Look forward to seeing you at the powwow,
Sarah

PS. Also in Nottingham on 26 September: The Big Wheel’s Big Day Out, a free festival at the castle from 11 am to 4 pm. Visit www.thebigwheel.org.uk/festival for more details. Why not make a day of it? The powwow usually finishes between 6 and 7 pm.

Non-attendance Sep 17, 2009

Rats! Yet another one I cannot attend. I am off to a specialist Medical Translation Workshop at the University of Durham on Friday 25th and we have then already booked to stay over to the Sunday to do some sight seeing there. Have a great time and, in the words of the current Number One, "We'll meet again, don't know..."

Thanks for the info Sarah. I'll try to meet you as soon as I can.
I've never attended to an event like this so I'll be good, I may go with a friend who is interested in languages as well.

Could you please let me know if you move somewhere else? Cheersicon_wink.gif
