2001–2006 Extensive work, on assignment, on translating peer-reviewed articles in academic philosophy from English, German, and occasionally Italian, to Icelandic. Customers: the annual publication Hugur and Hið íslenska bókmenntafélag (HÍB). Authors included Slavoj Žižek , Maurizio Ferraris, Bernard Williams, Minna Koivuniemi, Marita Muukonen, Guðfríður Lilja Grétarsdóttir, Páll Skúlason and Teresa Orozco.

2002–2004 Translation of various non-academic essays and critique, from English and German to Icelandic, including articles from Arundhati Roy, Slavoj Žižek and others.

2007 Óraplágan, my translation of Slavoj Žižek's Plague of Fantasies, published by Hið íslenska bókmenntafélag.

2006–2008 Assigned with translation agency Markmál, Iceland. Main field: translation of technical manuals from English to Icelandic

2009–2013 Subtitling, mainly in Icelandic but also, occasionally, in English (for example the 2011, 89 min. Icelandic documentary Ge9n).

2016–2017 Various statements and news releases from the EU, from English to Icelandic.

Related experience includes the authoring of scores of published articles, three books of poetry, and one novel (Svavar Pétur og 20. öldin, Nýhil, 2006).
