A expressão mais usada é “consignação em pagamento” (payment into court), mas no caso a “consignação em depósito (judicial)” significa a mesma coisa.

Payment into court: the act of a defendant in depositing the amount which he admits to be due, with the proper officer of the court, for the benefit of the palintiff and in answer to his claim.
