escritos de poética

Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
This is a Spanish visual artist talking about the perils of giving titles, specifically guiding viewer's interpretations too much. Here, he makes a comparison with writing:
El autor debe siempre abstenerse de interpretar —decía Eco—, pero puede contar por qué y cómo ha llegado a dar forma a su trabajo. Los llamados escritos de poética no sirven para entender la obra, pero sirven para entender cómo se resuelve el problema técnico que es la producción de una obra. En el caso que nos ocupa, un título.
"escritos de poetics" seems to be something specific, more specific than "treatises on poetics" which do not necessarily talk about a technical problem. Any idea what he is getting at? Thanks

[writings/treatises on] poetics
You could just say 'poetics'.
Poetics
The theory of structure, form, and discourse within literature and, in particular, within poetry.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetics
Eco is saying that the artist can use poetics to explain how the work came into being, but should not force interpretations on the viewer by giving it a title.

: I believe simply "poetics" is sufficient. Dictionaries call it a noun and give definitions similar to the source you quoted.

I have doubts about *poetics' as a noun / substantive, rather than an adjective.
The context suggests labelling, rather than drifting into 'flights of poetic fancy' or 'aspects of poetic licenc/se)':
'sirven para entender cómo se resuelve el problema *técnico* que es la producción de una obra...'

poetic writings
Pax phil, my sggestion is not writing/s about poetics, simply poetic writings.
For example, things like brochures and information cards waxing lyrical in descriptions of the work in question, which seems to be the thrust of the quote.

In fact, let's make it a twofer: You could even consider "lyrical waxings", as in these examples...
"Lady Lavery's lyrical waxings of Michael Collins go for auction..."
"Hilarious lyrical waxings of the mundane"

An artist statement
This could cover the idea of an analysis that avoids driving an interpretation:
An Artist Statement is a brief statement which tells us about the art. It's about your art, not about you. It's about the current direction of your work, not a history of how you got to this point. An explanation of your style, approach, philosophy, subject and/or theme.

Discussion
Escritos de poética remite a poesía de primeras pero aquí puede tratarse de otra cosa, obra teatral quizá.
