Hi all, I am working on a project regarding renal denervation. There is a mention of "late arriving nerves" in distal branches.
For the life of me, I can't find medical info in Portuguese that mention these nerves.
Is there an established translation in PT-PT?
Examples in academic papers for context:
"Late and very late arriving nerves (LAN/VLAN) were defined as those nerves running tangentially and joining the renal arteries distal to the MRA bifurcation or at the segmental branches, respectively."

I don't think you'll find a perfectly equivalent term for this, however, based on the context you provided, "late" has a space/place connotation (see below). Therefore, my suggestion is "nervos que se inserem posteriormente/tardiamente nos ramos distais" which convey that the nerves are joining the branch at a more distal position.

Some nerves bypass the MRA and join distally to the different MRA’s divisions. Note: my opinion is in pt-BR, but I don't think that will be a problem in this particular case.
