Dutch term
gekantonneerde fondsen
Dutch to English
Bus/Financial
Investment / Securities
I received this advice about this term:
dit fondsen zijn waarbij delen van het bedrag geïnvesteerd worden in afzonderlijke, afgescheiden blokken. Aangezien de verdeling van die fondsen in een aantal afgescheiden stukken zit, spreekt men van gekantonneerde fondsen
Although I have found references to the term in Dutch (on Belgian sites) and English, I cannot track down the actual word itself.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

What are Segregated Funds?
Segregated funds are investment funds that pool together the assets of investors like you with similar objectives who want to:
diversify their investments;
reduce their risk and;
lower their investment costs.
Like mutual funds, segregated funds are professionally managed, come with a variety of payment options and can be easily tracked in the media.

Comment: "Thank you. This seems to be a likely translation although I am not sure it entirely fits the client's explanation. However, the client is an insurance company and from the websites cited it appears that segregated funds are only used by insurance companies. Thank you for your help."
