I am doing a translation for a product that is suitable for a lot of industries, such as gas and oil, power, and broadcast. How do I describe "broadcast" as an industry? "Omroep" does not seem to fit the bill as it also includes transmission from masts etc. I cannot find how this "broadcast" as an industry is called in Dutch.

Note from asker:

Note from asker:

The good thing is they can't remove the good news. :-)
Have a good day!
Barend
industry = vaak 'sector'
omroepsector = 8240 G-hits
Broadcasting is the distribution of audio or video content to a dispersed audience via any electronic mass communications medium, but typically one using the electromagnetic spectrum (radio waves), in a one-to-many model.
The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, title 47, part 97 defines "broadcasting" as "transmissions intended for reception by the general public, either direct or relayed".[7] Private or two-way telecommunications transmissions do not qualify under this definition. For example, amateur ("ham") and citizens band (CB) radio operators are not allowed to broadcast. As defined, "transmitting" and "broadcasting" are not the same.

Succes.
Maar ik wist niet 'walkie-talkies van nooddiensten' tot 'broadcast' behoorde, does it? Is 'broadcast' breder dan ik denk?
