English term

credit pending appeal

Non-PRO English to Spanish Other Education / Pedagogy
Hello, I'm translating a New Jersey 7th grade report card. There's a School Attendance specification box that says the following: "Any high school student who accumulates 16 unexcused absences in a full class will lose credit pending appeal. Students who accumulate
8 absences in a half-year course and 4 absences in a marking period course will lose credit pending appeal."

I'd like to know what the phrase "lose credit pending appeal" means.

Thank you very much!

recuperación de puntos/créditos

Credit Appeal is a program for students who need to recover lost credits or have excessive amounts of absences but passed a course. A loss of credit can prevent students from graduating on time or too many unexcused absences can lead to an “NG” on your report card for the semester.

English term (edited): lose credit pending appeal

no recibirá crédito, pendiente una apelación

A little re-wording, to make it sound natural. If they miss 16 days, they won´t receive credit for that class, unless they appeal the decision and win.
