The following is from a report of clinical case studies where 3D imaging is recommended. I am not familiar with the precise terminology. Any help appreciated.

"Cas clinique 11 : Anatomie canalaire

Le patient est référé par son praticien pour de vives douleurs persistantes de 17 et à ses alentours. Le traitement endodontique de 17 ainsi que l’avulsion de 16 ont été réalisés il y a plusieurs semaines.

L’examen 2D montre un traitement endodontique avec surobturations."
