: 'rupture' is probably not the most natural term to use here in EN, where it has a more restricted range of senses than in FR. Maybe, but usage in a foreign hospital is not necessarily authoritative; can you find any NATIVE references?

For flawed prosthesis rupture is the term we have used with our ortopedics units.
