agree Huw Watkins : yes - I just spoke to a Lebanese national and she suggested flat bread so pita would fit. Pita is also very common here. I suppose unleaven bread is also an option despite the Jewish connotations.

Yes, I have also heard flat bread but I think pita bread is more popular, at least in North America.

Syrian bread

Pita is fine, too...this is just an option. This is what we called it when I lived in New York.
