Swedish term

Marginalen (capitalized)

Good question Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
I am doing a loan agreement, and the term Marginalen (capitalized!) appears again and again. Normally, I would say "profit" or "margin" but these look a bit strange. The term is capitalized but not included as a defined term. Here are a few of the appearances.
A

Thanks in advance

Marginalen

Just a guess, but I suspect that the definition below applies here. In other words, Marginalen is (or rather was) what we in England call Bank Rate - the rate that the Bank of England will pay on commercial banks' deposits at the BoE. That causes the commercial banks to set their lending rates in line with Base Rate.

Marginalen is therefore a proper noun, and should not be translated (but it might be worth adding an expedition in brackets , eg Sweden's Bank Rate).

Marginalräntan

Marginalräntan var Riksbankens styrränta från december 1985 fram till och med maj 1994. Juni 1994 ersattes marginalräntan av reporäntan, in- och utlåningsräntan. Marginalräntan bestämdes av det trappsteg i räntetrappan som Riksbanken på daglig basis tillämpade. Marginalräntan var därmed en ränta till vilken bankerna på marginalen lånade eller placerade i Riksbanken.

(the) Margin, Profit

I agree with you, it looks odd, but they have capitalized a lot of "key nouns". Very un-Swedish, more English really.
Note from asker:
All the other capitalized terms are specifically defined in the definition system. I thought of margin and profit too, but they don't seem to fit in to the three examples I gave. Thanks for the suggestion
