Any 1st or 2nd time business correspondence which includes the words "(you can) trust me" has only one guaranteed effect: red flags vehemently blowing into my face to the sound of all alarms going off. And you can definitely trust me on this one. | | | claudia16 (X) Regno Unito Local time: 03:41 Instant detection | Aug 11, 2011 |
I have received 4-5 of these and they are easy to detect because they will have some of these: - Most of the time they have spelling and grammar mistakes - they mention God somewhere -they ask you for your full details - the subject and details of the job are vague -They say they can't pay by wire transfer or Paypal -no details of where they are and who they work for, if you ask for more info about them such as address and telephone number where you could call... Dieter Bäuerle Address.Holländargatan 75 STOCKHOLM Well, I can't say if it is the same person but it bears all the classic hallmarks of an overpayment scam - poor English, missing spaces after full stops, some variant of the line "Now i guess you have an idea of the person you about to start work with.", voluntarily offers (would probably insist if pressed) partial payment in advance, etc. I couldn't help but check it on Google Streetview. Lo and behold, the odd numbers in Holländargatan in Stockholm don't go higher than 41.

The indicated country phone code is for Sweden, not Germany. It is a big hint. Furthemore, the address seems to be in a residential area, which would look a bit suspicious to me. To my knowledge, no-one can take money from your bank account without your prior written -and verified- consent, which in France requires at least filling in one form (autorisation de prélèvement). Else your bank... is not worth being trusted (call them if you have any doubt).
