English term

bell plate

English to Italian Art/Literary Music excerpt from E. Templeton book
Here is a picture of a bell plate.

It is the hanging metal bit that you hit with a little hammer to make the noise when banging a gong.

Come to think of it, how do you say "gong" in Italian? I've just translated it as "campana". Is that correct?

Grazie infinite!

Just checked with my musician daughter and she says it's called "gong" in Italian too!

Hi! Shouldn't this be Eng to Ital? Should we reverse the pairs?

sono delle campane e in italiano i bell plate si chiamano proprio campane, a lastra o in lastra di metallo, gong rimane *gong* anche in italiano.
