Hi folks! I'm translating a script. The story takes place in the countryside and one of the characters invites another one to get on her horse and ride. The script goes (sic):
"Juana
-Dale.
Carlos
-Eh?
Juana
-Dale, vamos los dos, en ancas."
I know "ancas" are called haunch, but the expression "en ancas" which I think refers to riding without saddle, is what I need. Could you please help me?

: I don't think "let's ride together on the horse" is a natural thing to say, but "let's ride double" is exactly right: that gets my vote!

The dictionary gives "pillion" - to ride pillion means to fit an extra person on the back. This is more usually associated with motorbikes these days, though it does apply to horses too. However, I don't think it fits the context, which is why I suggest "go for a ride together".

"En ancas" refers to riding on the rear of the horse, the rump or croup. It's sometimes called riding on the crupper (the crupper is a strap extending back from the saddle to under the tail, designed to stop the saddle sliding forwards).
Here, though, I think what Juana must be suggesting is that one of them will go in the saddle and the other behind, on the rump/croup. Probably she's suggesting that Carlos gets on the horse behind her, in which case you might say "you go on the rump" or "on the croup". But unless this is certain, I think "one behind the other" would convey the meaning.
