Deflagration Venting: Rupture type vent panel(s) can be provided that are suitable for
NFPA Class St-1 dust (specifically, KSt value below 200 bar-m/sec). The St-1 class dust
is commonly found in steel blast applications, however the composition of dust varies
greatly. Only testing can determine the classification of dust. In all cases, it is the
customer’s responsibility to contact the local authority having jurisdiction regarding
explosion venting and dust testing requirements. The vents are designed for ambient
temperature conditions.
