El contexto es una novela histórica situada en la Alta Edad Media.
Entiendo el concepto de "knight's fee" como la medida de una unidad de tierra suficiente para mantener a un caballero, sus escuderos, sus caballos, etc. y cumplir con ello con sus deberes para con su señor.
Casos en los que aparece: "his father had granted him ten knight's fees of his own" o "his knight's fees would amount to more tan a hundred".
He pensado en "feudo", "fanega", "caballería", entre otros términos... pero nada me convence.
¿Alguna sugerencia? Gracias de antemano!

Knight's fee
In mediæval England and Anglo-Norman Ireland, a knight's fee. also sometimes called scutage, was the amount of money and/or military service a fief was required to pay to support one knight. Under the feudal system, land was exchanged for military service, thus knight's fees were used to describe the value of land. A fief could provide either the service of a knight, or an equivalent amount of money to allow a lord to hire a knight.
