Nel febbraio del 1916 la 1ª Squadriglia Caccia, preposta alla difesa di Udine, ebbe in dotazione i nuovi Nieuport 11 chiamati Bebè o “13 mq”, armati di una mitragliatrice Lewis fissata sull’ala superiore.
