title of a book
the title of this book, which deals with sisterhood in renaissance literature, is "sorelle di pena, compagne di splendore".. I m not satisfied with any of my ideas for translating it.. anyone have suggestions? thanks

For me "sisters in pain" sounds very much like the italian "sorelle di pena". I am positive that this very phrase has been been used before with this very meaning. As for the second part of the title.. let me think about it ;).

Sisters in pain sounds ambiguous to me I prefer sisterhood OF pain, meaning women who go through pain together and support each other through it.
