صحونا ذات يوم فإذا بالعجوز توزع علينا نحن الأطفال وعابري الطريق مشروبات غازية وحلويات. لم نعرف ما المناسبة؟ في العصر بدأ النسوة من كل الزاهية يتوافدن على بيت العجوز، ولا ندري ما حدث؟ بعد صلاة العشاء فرش السماط في ساحة المسجد وطرحت صحون الأرز واللحم. ذلك اليوم الذي لا يُنسى ولا نعرف سره كوننا أطفالا ولا نحشر أنفسنا في كلام لا يخصنا ولا يعنينا بشيء
