This term is being used in the context of sales guidance for sales staff selling an English learning product.

I think in English, people who propose these kinds of techniques would just use "disarming", without the "mental" part. Here you could probably just use "disarming" as a noun, or "disarming strategy," etc.

Thanks, SAN. The way I understood it was that this applies to selling strategies, e.g., in lead follow-up, etc., so it probably has very little to do with the product itself.
