Deutsch term
Qualitätsführer
"Quality leader" seems to be the main suggestion in linguee etc. but would this be correct here in English? Or perhaps "leaders in terms of quality" / "the benchmark when it comes to quality"?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: I'd translate the complete sentence "Wir wollen Qualitätsführer in der Branche sein" as "We aim/strive to be the industry leader in quality".

Thanks, though I think you should preserve "quality leader". Again, there's no need to find ways of expressing it differently to the German.

: A 'quality leader' is a term used of an individual I think - I'd tend towards the version Steffen has suggested 'industry or market leader in terms of quality' or you could go for something more akin to Ramey's suggestion and use 'premium brand'.

Sorry, you're wrong, as my references show. Why make things more complicated than they really are?

: agree with Phil on this as "quality leader" could easily refer to more than an individual but I still don't think "quality leader" is the best way to go in this context

Indeed. Or "We are the benchmark for quality", which gets 26 authentic Google-Treffer.
