Can't find a single Google for this term so I'm hoping there are some arachnophiles out there! Not much joy searching for a literal translation either. Comes up in an interview with an arachnologist about his work on the Comoros Islands. He's giving a few examples of types of spiders that have adapted particularly well to the volcanic environment.

Could this be a (sub)species of the trap-door spider?

Comment: "Behaviour of this spider certainly seems to mirror that of the trap-door spider. Nice one. Thanks!"
