English term

A cable threaded through these anchors

English to French Medical Medical: Cardiology chirurgie valvulaire mitrale
The doctor implants approximately 10 anchors underneath the mitral valve.
****A cable threaded through these anchors**** will be placed under tension to reduce the size of the mitral valve in order to help the leaflets close better.

anchors = points d'ancrage ?

Merci

This cable is not there for the purpose of sewing a wound, but to form a sort of lasting ring encircling the base of the mitral valve, to prevent it from expanding too much.
It would make sense to call it "un câble"; adding "un câble fin" would avoid the association with usually much thicker cables.

Another option : "... un cableau enfilé ..."

"... A cable is two or more wires running side by side and bonded, twisted or braided together to form a single assembly. ..."
